Impressive photos of the glacier!
I am very intrigued by the photos of Paris as it seems to be one of the Universal exhibitions pre 1889, but i cannot recognise any building i know...

DeeBee, I'm not really sure myself if it's Paris, for I´ve never been there. Anyway there's a a building way back that could be Notre Dame Cathedral.
